WALKER SEARCY

OWNER

Walker earned his MBA at Piedmont College with a BA in Business Management. He was a 4 year starter as an infielder for the Piedmont Lions and later became a Graduate Assistant. Walker served as an assistant coach for Gordon College’s baseball team from 2008-2009. 

Seeing that his entire life has revolved around sports, being an athlete, and his family, purchasing Home Plate has given him the opportunity to continue his athletic endeavors in a family-driven community.

Walker is married to his supportive wife, Amanda. Together they have 3 children, Rowan, Morgan, and Mills.

Lloyd has been an instructor and coach for over 30 years

.4 years of professional baseball with Montreal Expos and

Chicago White Sox.

CAJEN RHODES

 

Drafted in the 44th round of the 1993 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers. Cajen played for two years at Pensacola Junior College. He was a member of the 1996 NCAA Division II National Championship Team at Kennesaw State University. Cajen holds his degree from Columbus State University where he played his final year of college baseball. He enjoys coaching players of all levels and positions.

JAKE ESCH

 

Georgia Tech middle infielder studied Civil Engineering. In 2011 he was voted Academic All-American and a finalist for the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award. He was drafted in the 11th round by the Florida Marlins as a starting pitcher. On August 31, 2016, he debuted for the Marlins pitching 4.1 innings against the New York Mets at Citi Field.

Drafted in 2016, Seattle Mariners, Round: 21. Austin played in college for 3 years for Oregon as an outfielder. 2016 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team

TOBY BLACK

 

Former Head Baseball Coach at McIntosh High School (1991 - 2008)  

Worked with Doyle Baseball - Winter Haven, FL teaching along side the Doyle Brothers & Tom House.  Coach Black has had a number of players drafted and recruited to college baseball.

SAL ARGILA

Sal played with Chipola College out of high school.  After junior college he went on to play with Auburn University - Montgomery.  Sal has coached for many years at the high school most recdently with the Spalding Jaguars.  He has helped many players follow their dreams of playing baseball by helping them get recruited in college as well being drafted in the MLB.

TRAVIS McCLANAHAN

Travis McClanahan has 23 years of college coaching experience, both in Junior College and at the Division I level.  He also has 15 years of experience as a scout for the Atlanta Braves.   Travis understands what is needed to help every pitcher excel and if you have the work ethic and determination to succeed, he can help you reach your goals.

JOE GRUSZKA

Joe played at Starrs Mill High School and graduated in 2016.  He continued his baseball career through college at UNC where he was predominantly a catcher and designated hitter.  He also played OF and IF.

FRED WEST

Fred played college baseball at Gordon State College and Albany State University where he majored in Graphic Design.   He obtained his Master's Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University.  Fred coached high school baseball for11 years at Griffin High School and Whitewater High School. Fred has 10 years of travel ball coaching experience and specializes in fielding and hitting.

SAM KUCHINSKI

 

Sam played infield at Gordon State College 2019 - 2021 and at the University of Montevallo 2022 - 2023. 

Two-time Player of the Year.

2023 Region Player of the Year. 

Two-time All-American.

Focus:  Hitting, Catching, and Infield.

ARMOND UPSHAW

 

After graduating from Northgate HS, Armond played at Pensacola State College as a left handed pitcher, switch hitter and outfielder.  Drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round.  2016 to 2023, most recently in AA.

JASON FOINTNO

Played for two years at Gordon

State College.  Honorable All-Conference, GCAA Second Team All-Conference.  Played 2.5 years at West Georgia.  Rawlings National Glove Award 2021.
